Are You Actually Coachable?

If you’re here, it means you’re someone who wants to grow, evolve, and level up. But let’s get real—do you actually allow yourself to be coached? Or are you unknowingly blocking your own transformation?

As someone who has spent over a decade coaching women—and even before that, working as a stylist and hairdresser—I’ve seen this pattern play out over and over. Women say they want change, they want success, they want confidence… yet, when the time comes to do the work, they resist. So today, I have one simple but powerful question for you: Are you actually coachable?

The Truth About Being Coachable

Being coachable isn’t about saying you want help—it’s about how you receive it.

When you join a program, hire a coach, or even sit with a mentor or therapist, are you showing up with an empty cup? Or are you overflowing with so much information and ego that there’s no room for real transformation?

A coachable person comes in saying, “I know nothing. I’m here to learn.” Not because they’re belittling themselves, but because they understand that true growth requires humility.

Too many people come in thinking they already have all the answers. But if that were true, you’d already have the results you want.

  • If you don’t have the six-figure business, you don’t know how to build one yet.
  • If you don’t have the relationship you desire, you don’t know how to create one yet.
  • If you’re still struggling with confidence, you don’t know how to cultivate it yet.

And that’s okay! But the key is recognizing that knowledge without action isn’t transformation. If you’re stuck in the same cycles, consider that you may be resisting the very coaching that could set you free.

Signs You Might NOT Be Coachable (Yet)

Let’s be honest—some people come into coaching spaces with a brick wall up. Here are some red flags that might mean you’re getting in your own way:

  1. You “Yeah, yeah, yeah” everything.
    • “Oh, I already know that.”
    • “Yeah, I’ve heard this before.”
    • But have you applied it? Have you seen real change from it? Knowing and doing are two different things.
  2. You defend your limitations.
    • When given feedback, do you explain why it won’t work for you instead of considering how it could?
    • Do you find yourself saying, “Yeah, but…” in response to every suggestion?
  3. You take everything personally.
    • Feedback isn’t an attack—it’s an opportunity. But if you hear constructive criticism and immediately get defensive, you might be blocking your own progress.
  4. You want change, but not discomfort.
    • Growth requires discomfort. If you reject new ideas just because they challenge you, you’re choosing comfort over transformation.

How to Become More Coachable (and Actually See Results)

If any of this is hitting home, don’t stress—you can shift it. Here’s how:

1. Drop the Ego & Empty Your Cup

Come into every learning opportunity as a student. When I attend training, when I sit in a university lecture, when I’m being coached—I show up empty, ready to absorb. I don’t walk in thinking, “I already know this.” I allow myself to be poured into.

And you know what? That’s why I grow so fast.

2. Take Radical Responsibility

If you’re not where you want to be, take ownership of that. Instead of blaming circumstances, people, or luck, ask:

“Where can I improve? What haven’t I been willing to face?”

3. Stop Taking Feedback Personally

A coach, mentor, or program isn’t there to attack you—it’s there to support you. The discomfort you feel when receiving feedback is often just your ego being challenged. Sit with it. Reflect. See where there’s truth in it.

4. Commit to Application, Not Just Learning

Consuming content isn’t growth. Taking action is. So the next time you read a book, join a program, or get advice—don’t just nod and move on. Ask yourself: “How can I implement this today?”

Are You Ready to Truly Grow?

If you’re still here, I know you’re serious about your evolution. And that’s powerful.

But now comes the real question—what will you do with this awareness? Will you start showing up with an empty cup? Will you take action instead of just gathering more information?

The choice is yours, Queen.

If you’re ready to truly step into your next level, stay open, stay humble, and stay coachable. Because that’s where real transformation happens.

Much love, and I’ll see you in the next episode.
