How do you do it all, Erika?

I’m a busy woman and I do a lot but, keeping it real, I need you to know that I don’t do it all. No one does.

I get asked a lot about how I do it all and I thought it would be a good topic to talk about because it’s just not true. I don’t do it all. But what I do, I freaking love.

I run a global business, I’m a mother, I’m a wife to the man of my dreams, I’m a daughter to my mother who lives in America, I’m a coach to my beautiful clients who need me, I’m a boss to my staff. How could I possibly do all that by myself and not go loco? I don’t! Because I also say no a lot. I manage my time really well, I ask for help and I have teams of people around me that I delegate to.

Sometimes people look at everything I do and think that I’m superwoman and never miss a beat, but I’m human ya’ll. I get stressed, I get overwhelmed, I get angry and cry but I’ve learned that it’s not about the fall, it’s about how fast you get back up. And the fire inside me to see the transformation in the people I work with gives me the energy I need to keep going.

So this episode is a bit of a behind the scenes of all that I do, how I operate and what I do when I start to feel overwhelmed and stressed. I talk about some practical things I do, about communication and staying in the present moment instead of thinking about a future that isn’t here yet.

TOPICS I MENTION AND WHERE TO FIND THEM:

[1:00]: I love to intuitively podcast and the question coming up a lot lately is “how do you do it all?” I don’t do it all because there’s so much to do. I’m stressed in this moment but I know it’s not real.

[4:30]: I lost 8 hours of filming because my husband and son have been sick and the pressure has been all on me, which has left me feeling unsupported, drained and overwhelmed. I wasn’t being present and I was fighting what is, not loving what is.

[6:00]: People think I’m superwoman but I’m not. I still fight with my husband and get overwhelmed but it comes down to poor communication.

[7:45]: We operate by communicating everything so that we can learn and move through things.

[9:00]: If you can’t move through the problem, you’re stuck in victim land

[9:50]: Pretty please review my podcast!

[10:30]: I focus on what’s on the agenda right now. One day at a time, one project at a time. I don’t allow my body to go into the future and feel anxious.

[12:00]: I have a lot of energy because I love what I do. If you don’t, you need to look at what you’re doing.

[14:30]: Do something or work towards something that sets you on fire.

[15:30]: I’m a terrible friend because I don’t have the time to go out and I spend my time with my family and my clients.

[17:00]: I stay present with my day, not jumping into the next day or next week. Book out what you’re doing in your calendar so that it’s not in your head taking up energy and set an alert.

[18:00]: No one’s doing it all. I do the shit that’s important to me, I ask for help, I say no.

[18:30]: It’s not about the fall, it’s about how fast you get back up. I get up so fast you can’t even tell I’ve fallen.

[20:00]: We’ve got so much going on this year and I’m so blessed
