Do you REALLY support women?

I’m talking about women supporting women today. And I mean ALL women.

So what does that mean? What does that look like for you?

I see a lot of cute quotes and hashtags and t-shirts going around saying there’s no competition and that we need to support each other.

But are we REALLY supporting women?

Are you supporting the women who frustrate you? The women who are mean? What about the women who aren’t cool or fashionable or the women who are a pain in the ass?

This episode is a challenge to us all to look closer at our lives and businesses and to think about what supporting women really looks like on a daily basis. I talk about what real supportive relationships look like and how we attract what we are willing to cultivate. I talk about lifting up every woman in your life and not making room for jealousy, mistrust or competition.

ALL women need to be held, seen and heard. And it starts with you. Only when you are a stand for yourself can you be a pillar for someone else.

TOPICS I DISCUSSED:

[1:20]: What does women supporting women actually mean in your life? A lot of people speak about female empowerment but are they a stand for ALL women?

[3:50]: What does it look like in your business? Are you supporting women of colour and clients who are difficult?

[5:15]: I don’t believe in competition. I will have what is meant for me will be mine and what is not meant for me will not be mine.

[6:30]: You can support women you don’t agree with by not gossiping about them and by sharing the truth with them

[9:00]: I’ve cultivated the relationships I have and share what I have. If jealousy comes up, you need to deal with it.

[10:30]: Please leave a review for my podcast!

[11:10]: There’s no space for jealousy in this space. It’s give and take.

[13:00]: If you don’t feel connected, you’re not connecting. If you don’t feel supported by other women, are you supporting them?

[14:20]: How can we do the work in our own home? When you are doing the work on yourself, you become a better human being and start attracting other women like that.

[16:00]: Women need to be held, seen and guided, even the ones who are doing the wrong thing. You need to be a stand for yourself first.

[17:45]: Instead of comparing yourself to other women, let them uplevel you to be the woman you want to be. Catch yourself when you’re jealous and insecure.

[19:30]: Work with me in the 2021 Sistahood program!
