Feel like you’re going backwards? Listen to this!

I hear so many people say that they’re going backwards and that they’re stuck in a pattern of repeating the same thing over and over again. But the truth is, you can’t go backwards. You just can’t. We are always moving forward, always changing and evolving and growing. You might be experiencing similar feelings to what you felt in the past, but you’re not going backwards.

Think about who you were 6 months ago, 1 year ago, 3 years ago. What were you feeling back then? How was your thought life? What did you spend your time doing? Where was your focus? See, you’re not that person anymore. You’ve learned new things since then, you’ve experienced something different. You’re a new version of you.

In this episode, I talk about what to do if you have the feeling like you’re going backwards and encourage you to catch that thinking and give yourself some credit for all the growth you’ve gone through. I talk about not beating yourself up and going into guilt, but taking everything as an opportunity for growth. Yes, growth hurts sometimes. It’s painful and it takes time. But it’s exciting! You’re changing and that’s a beautiful thing.

[3:00]: Look inside to see what else is being called to you. It’s hard enough to go through lockdown so take the pressure down.

[12:35]: Think about who you were 6 months ago and look at yourself now. Have you changed and grown and experienced something new? The answer is likely yes!

[13:40]: For you to change things, it requires action. Growth feels painful and challenging.

[14:50]: There are gems in all the shit you go through. If you don’t learn the lesson the first time, you’ll have to learn it next time.

[15:45]: Don’t feed your subconscious food that’s not good for it. Say good things to yourself.

[16:40]: You’re not going backwards, you’re just feeling similar feelings that you did in the past and you’re not the same person you were because we are constantly changing.

[17:55]: We don’t know how powerful and incredible we are. The more work you do on yourself, the more you learn who you’re not.

[19:15]: We are constantly evolving and we have to be ok with changing our perspectives and thoughts on things.
