You’re Not Being Copied. You’re Just Not Being You

Let’s get real. The internet is flooded with people screaming “She copied me!” or “Everyone sounds the same!”—but here’s the truth no one wants to hear…

Most women aren’t being copied.
They’re just not clear on who the hell they are.

If you’ve ever felt like someone ripped off your content or stole your vibe, pause. Breathe. Because what’s probably happening is not theft—it’s identity confusion. And sis, that’s a confidence issue.

The Real Problem Isn’t Plagiarism—It’s Insecurity

When women haven’t done their inner work, they walk into programs, masterminds, and online spaces like shapeshifters. They become mini versions of their mentors—not out of malice, but because they don’t know their own power.

They haven’t unpacked their trauma.
They’re people-pleasing and perfection-performing.
They don’t trust their ideas.
They’re still searching for permission.

So of course they start writing, sounding, dressing, and launching like the person they paid to “teach them the way.” It’s not copying—it’s confusion. It’s a lack of confidence in their own voice.

Copy-Paste Coaching Isn’t Leadership

You don’t need another template. You need to know your essence.

Thought leadership doesn’t come from repeating what your coach said. It comes from disagreeing, adding your own flavor, and standing for something real.

And let me say it again louder for the people in the back:
There are no original ideas.

We’re all influenced by the books we read, the programs we join, the mentors we admire. But what makes you a real leader is your discernment. What do you agree with? What don’t you? What are you here to say that only you can say?

Don’t Join to Imitate—Join to Activate

I’ve seen it in my own programs. Women come in ready to slay, then quietly start turning into sequined, sweary versions of me. And while I love me, we don’t need another Erika.

What we need is you. Your tone. Your take. Your truth.

So if you’re in a space that’s turning you into a clone, ask yourself:
Where am I in all this?
Do I still sound like me?
Have I forgotten my own values?

And if the answer makes you uncomfortable—good. That’s where the real work begins.
