Back in 2017, I had 1,000 followers, zero coaching experience, and $150K in debt.
What I did have was fire in my belly and a deep desire to serve.
I started showing up online as my whole, raw, real self. I shared stories, I let people in, and I connected like my business depended on it, because it did.
Followers Are Just Numbers. Fans Build Movements.
There’s a huge difference between someone who clicks “follow” and someone who buys your book, joins your program, and tells every woman they know about your work.
Your follower count doesn’t matter if no one’s engaging, no one’s converting, and no one gives a shit about what you offer.
Here’s what does matter:
1. Connection Over Clout
Stop performing. Start connecting.
People are craving real. They want to see you in your mess, in your mission, in your magic. The more you let them in, the more they trust you—and people buy from people they trust.
2. Consistency Over Perfection
You don’t need to be everywhere, but you do need to be somewhere, every damn day.
Show up in your stories. Say good morning. Share what you’re learning. Give your people a reason to check in with you like they would with their favorite TV show.
3. Credibility Over Virality
Don’t waste your energy trying to blow up. Build slow and deep instead of fast and flaky.
Speak to your people like you’re already the go-to. Because when you own your expertise and stay in your lane, people start to see you as a leader, even if your audience is small.
